Women's Action Network -a coalition of diverse groups and individuals-
is Cardea Center for Women's advocacy and public policy education
forum. WAN’s primary objective is to support non-partisan activism and political participation in regional, national and global arenas. WAN informs to strengthen the effectiveness of women's voices and women’s organizations by alerting on a variety of issues impacting the welfare of women and girls. Any organization that monitors important local, state & national legislation and policy as its primary mission or as a major component of its mission and services so as to further the welfare of women & girls is eligible to become an active member of WAN. Allied organizations, individuals and legislative staff members are also encouraged and welcome to become contributing members.
We sustain our partnerships through open, ongoing communication and regular updates on legislation and public policy. And when it's time for action, we provide you alerts by email or the web, often with background information and easy ways to take fast, effective action. You decide on the issues to support and the action to take.
We ask you to support the WAN mission, objectives and the six critical areas identified; designate official representative(s) to WAN meetings; alert WAN to important legislation and needed action and help publicize & promote WAN with online links to your organization..
